Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in the US. She is an actress, singer and dancer. One of her first Broadway shows include Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. She was awarded an award from the Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a Play in the role of Essie Carmichael from You Can't Take It With You. Tony Award-winning actress Annaleigh Ashford has spent the majority of her time working with some of the most acclaimed actors and directors in theatre and on television. she will continue that work with several upcoming projects. Ashford in the near future will play opposite Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive series Welcome to Chippendales which premieres November 22. Ashford is currently filming for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust starring opposite Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film is scheduled to air on Disney DTC in the form of a Hulu Original. The film will premiere in March 2023. Ashford will make a return appearance on Broadway and play alongside Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The group behind Hamilton producers Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at the leading the show. Ashford was most recently seen as Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment which is based on the nation's crisis, which swept into Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters as the nation's first impeachment trial in more than 100 years. Ashford was a part of two seasons of the cult CBS comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it had Ben Vereen and Elizondo. Additional Broadway credits for Ashford includes Sunday in the Park, with George Wicked legally Blonde, and her role as Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this performance she received a Tony Award nomination. Ashford was raised and born in Denver and now divides her life between Los Angeles, and New York.
